The name Convexity means a rounded curve joining two points on a graph. Convexity also represents the elegant arc of a business relationship formed by bringing together the smart eye for long-term investment with the craft of an excellent winemaker and premier Napa vineyards. Thus, Convexity represents the best investment – making a classic, premium quality Napa Valley Cabernet.
Celebrated as The San Francisco Chronicle’s 2014 Winemaker of the Year, winemaker Steve Matthiasson brings to Convexity his expertise on vineyard management and winemaking. Matthiasson’s experience has placed him as a leader in sustainable vineyard development in Napa Valley. His quality winemaking has been celebrated by Food & Wine, The Wine Spectator, The San Francisco Chronicle and The Wall Street Journal, as well as the recently released book The California Wine by Jon Bonne. Matthiasson began making wine in Napa Valley in 2003.
In making Convexity, Steve expresses the unique character of Napa Cabernet. To showcase that quality, the Long-Term Wine Company team selects the best vineyard sites, and superior grapes from the Napa Valley. Convexity shows the result. The wine offers mouthwatering flavor from the warm sun of Napa brought together with the focused energy and flinty tension of outstanding Cabernet, a juicy, balanced wine with beautiful flavor.
