The nose is driven by the aromatics of our Sonoma Coast: fresh wet leaves, moss, redwood bark and pine needles over a forest floor – call it the Sonoma Coast garigue. The fruit comes through a close second, led by cherry and bramble-berries. These darker tones are lifted by tangerine oil and pungent burnt sage aromatics. The palate leads to primary notes of cherry skin, wild black berry and spiced pear. Baking spices, brown sugar, ginger and cacao follow with soft tannin with the texture and flavor of light black tea and hibiscus.
