tasting notes

An elixir-like headiness to the perfume, notes of orange peel and spice from the Mataro co-mingles nicely with the lively, bright red fruit and chocolate notes of the Grenache. Deceptively lush despite its medium body and dusty tannins, the GR/M bristles with acidity and strikes a nice counterbalance between the openly fruity nature of Grenache and the darker, more brooding grunt of Mataro. A tip of the hat to the wines of Bandol; it’s spicy and wild on a warm and tightly focused frame.
