This Barolo del Commune di La Morra is a more traditional take on the Barolo wine. Whereas in more modern times, producers have taken a liking to single vineyard designations, this wine is sourced from two cru vineyard sites of La Morra: La Serra and Fossati. While La Serra lies just above Fossati it gives the wine its intense structure, while Fossati gives the wine its dark color and robust aromas. This harmonious blend yields a supple yet drinkable Barolo that has a balanced flavor profile of earthy notes and tart berries and cassis, as well as and iconic and unmistakable Barolo nose. Pair with rich, savory stews and game.
